If you're a Bremerton driver who doesn't know how to change a flat tire, it's probably a good idea to lean how, and we can help at Truck Town. Knowing how to change a flat is an essential skill that ensures you're prepared if roadside assistance isn't available.

Be sure you have the following items, which are needed to change a flat, in your vehicle: jack, lug wrench, and spare tire. Don't pull over on a narrow shoulder around busy traffic, and try to change it on level ground. Once you've located a safe spot, apply the parking brake, and if its dark, turn on your hazard lights.

First, you'll want to remove the hub cap and loosen the lug nuts, but don't take the lug nuts off completely. Safely place the jack under the car and raise the vehicle. Once the vehicle is in position, remove the lug nuts and flat tire. Align the spare with the lug bolts and tighten the bolts by hand. After you lower the vehicle, tighten the lug nuts again and remove the jack.
